SAFETY is everyones responsibility. A Garage door is easily the largest and heaviest moving object attached to your home. Proper installation, operation and maintenance of both the door and the door opener are important to provide a safe and trouble-free operating door system. An improper working system can cause serious injuries or death. There are an estimated 30,000 injuries/deaths annually as a result of poorly and improperly maintained door systems.
DONT BECOME A STATISTIC....
KEEP YOUR CHILDREN SAFE !

NEVER let a child play with or around any garage door.
TEACH your children about garage door safety.
KNOW how to operate the RELEASE cord to free the door from the opener in an emergency.
NEVER allow small children access to the opener remote controls.
CHECK the force limits on any opener regularly (Consult your owners manual or call a professional)
KEEP wall button at least 5 feet (higher is better) from the floor.
ALWAYS keep the door in sight while it is moving.
VISUALLY inspect all your door parts or have them inspected on a regular basis (monthly) ie: Rollers, Hinges, Cables, Drums, Springs, Pulleys, Tracks, etc...
NEVER attempt to adjust torsion springs as these must only be adjusted by a trained professional. Seriously. These springs are under extreme tension. Extension springs are very dangerous as well and are best left alone.
NEVER attempt to loosen or remove ANY bottom bracket on ANY type of garage door. These are also under extreme tension.
NEVER bypass the safety eye-beams for the garage door opener systems and be sure that the sensors (eye-beams) are not mounted more than 6 inches (thats the federal law) above the floor.
ALWAYS exercise common sense with regards to any door or door opener useage.
PLEASE follow these and other safety tips. Families are special and children look to adults for their well being. Dont let them down for they are precious. Thank You.
